Well our 100 days are officially over this morning. It was so good to see everyone. I feel so lucky to have been chosen for this challenge. I have not felt this good for a long long time. I did not really enjoy life, I was always too tired. I want to thank everyone who helped me along the way. Traci thanks for your expertise and the great example that you are to me. Jessica your nutrition class was always so much fun and I did learn alot!!! Thank you. Janet thanks for all of your support, you give me inspiration when I see you at the Wellness Center. You ladies were all such good of examples of how to be healthy and fit. Kara you helped me more than you can know. You encouraged me to test myself and get stronger each week. Thank you Thank you!!!!
And thanks to all of my exercising, healthy eating, carb counting class mates and friends. When ever I saw you at nutrition class or at the gym or the jump rope class!! you made me want to do better. We are living proof that life indeed does get better as we get older!!!!
We made it, we will be better for our experience. Three cheers for us

It has been almost a whole month since I blogged last. I cannot believe how fast the summer has passed. I have really loved loved loved participating in this program. No matter what the scales say or what size I wear I know that this has been a sucess for me. I feel great and actually look forward to exercising. I have learned alot about nutrition in our classes and it has helped so much in food choices. Thanks so much to everyone who has helped and encouraged me along the way.

The weekend went by so fast!!! My daughter and I went to see the new Harry Potter movie. There is nothing I love better than to be in a cool dark theater on a hot afternoon. I did have popcorn and a diet coke, I enjoyed it along with the movie and did not feel guilty, because I knew it was just one snack in many I will have, and they won't all be popcorn and diet coke. I love letting go of the guilt that I have felt all of my life about food. I wish I had taken this class much earlier in my life. All of the wasted years, letting other people tell me what I should and should not be eating. I am very hopeful that is all behind me. YIPPEEE!!!!

YAHOO IT IS FRIDAY!! I am looking forward to the weekend. I have had a pretty good week. This week I have not had the feeling to look for treats to eat. I finished reading the bookIntuitive Eating and really learned alot about myself there. I am beginning to really feel and see some positive changes in my body!! I even had enough energy to take a bike ride just for fun last night I had already exercised that morning. I AM AMAZED THAT WAS ME SUGGESTING A RIDE AFTER DINNER. I liking everything about this challenge, all of my c0-challengers are nice and I am enjoying getting to know them better. This week I am not in so much pain from the exercise so this week I like exercise ! I love the calm feeling I have right now about my food choices. I am not constantly "on the prowl" looking for something to munch on.

We had our nutrition class this morning. We talked alot about intuitive eating and how dieting got us in to the shape that we are in now. For me this is very true!!! I am great at losing weight (over and over again) not good at keeping it off. I am very concerned that when this 12 weeks are over I will revert to my old habits. I have been thinking alot about how I can maintain this momemtum. I do not have the frantic feeling that usually accompanies my diets before, so I am hoping this calm means that I finally get it. It doesn't matter how long it takes me to get to a good weight for me as long as I am progressing.
I am beginning to feel that I may be pushing too hard on my exercise, I am not really loving it like I did when I first started. I need to talk this over with Kara, I don't want to cut back too far, but I feel like maybe this week it was too hard for me. Maybe next week I will be stronger and I won't feel like it is too hard. We will see how it goes.I think that exercise is the key for me to getting to and maintaining a healthy weight.

The holiday is over and I am very tired. I went swimming twice this weekend it was so fun. However, I slept in and missed my workout this morning, I will have to go tonight, so I don't miss a day. I am trying very hard not to miss a day with my exercise, I think that will be the hardest thing for me to do when the challenge is over, so I am trying to make exercise a habit I will not want to stop.
I put on a pair of pants this morning that are very very loose, I think I will not be able to wear them after today they keep sliding down. When my clothes get looser I get alot more excited than what the scales say,(although I do like seeing that number go down!) We have been doing this challenge for 5 weeks now and this is the first article of clothing that I can see progress with. Ya Hoo!!!
I feel like I am getting stronger too. I have alot more energy at the end of my workday and actually do other things at night instead of "resting up" for the next work day.

Wow

O.k. so I learned how to blog, last week but I did not figure out how to read other Blogs until today. I just read through most of them. You are all inspiring to me. THANK YOU!! I met with my trainer last night and I told her I just figured out that I had been working out harder on my recovery days than I had been at the gym. So-- bless her heart she remedied that in a hurry. I felt like I did during my first week, thank goodness for our trainers they know that we are tougher than we think we are. I am going swimming this weekend at my brothers home I am excited about getting in the pool (just not the swimsuit) We are having a BBQ however we are all bring our own meat to grill and one potluck item, that is easy for me I will just do a veggie plate. I just saw all of Monicas recipes, Thanks Monica, I think I will try to fettucine first.
